I have an appointment tomorrow for an in home quote. I want to put new carpet and padding in 3 bedrooms that are 12×12. What should I expect. Do I have to buy padding and carpet seperate or do they come together. What sould I ask? I have 5 year old twins and I want something to with stand their wear and tear.

when it comes to buying carpet, it’s all in the installer and what he includes for the price. You are carpeting a big area so it’s gunna be pricey if you want a higher grade of carpet. I would suggest a very good grade, one with high durabilty and StainGuard so that your children don’t run it amock with crayon and foot prints…lol I used to install and it’s all in how you talk to people as well. Talk with some sense, do a bit of research, talk about what you want, need and your issues and what he is able to do for you within a certain price. If he goes up and doesn’t budge, move on to the next person. He’ll start to think twice and will be ready to cut a deal. Key? RESEARCH!!!! Know your stuff before they get one over on you.
